Let’s face it—AI is everywhere.

Blogs, social media, even news articles are now flooded with ChatGPT-generated content. And guess what? Readers can tell.

I tested this myself. I published two versions of the same blog post on Trexera:

  • One written entirely by AI (Grammarly-edited).

  • One written by me (raw, personal, flawed).

The result? The human-written post got 3X more engagement.

Why? Because people crave real voices, not robotic fluff.

Here’s how you can keep your writing authentic, engaging, and AI-proof in 2025.

1. Stop Sounding Like Wikipedia (Nobody Reads It)

AI loves formal, passive sentences. Humans don’t.

❌ AI-style: "It is evident that the utilization of AI tools has become increasingly prevalent in content creation."
✅ Human-style: "Let’s be real—everyone’s using AI to write now. But here’s the problem…"

How to fix it:

  • Write like you’re talking to a friend.

  • Use contractions (you’re, don’t, can’t).

  • Break grammar rules for rhythm.

2. The #1 Trick AI Can’t Copy: Your Stories

AI can’t replicate:

  • That time you failed miserably at SEO.

  • The weird Google search that brought you traffic.

  • Your real income screenshots (not stock photos).

Example from my blog:

"Last year, I spent $500 on Facebook ads—and got ZERO sales. Then I tried this one tweak…"

Result? My highest-converting post.

Action step: Every post should have at least one personal story.

3. The “Ugly First Draft” Rule

AI content is too polished. Human writing is messy—and that’s good.

Here’s my process:

  1. Write the first draft without editing (let it be awkward).

  2. Walk away for 24 hours.

  3. Edit for clarity, not perfection.

Why it works: Your raw thoughts connect deeper than AI’s "perfect" sentences.

4. Steal This “Human” Writing Formula

I use this structure in every Trexera post:

  1. Hook: A bold, relatable opener ("I messed up…").

  2. Problem: What readers are struggling with.

  3. Story: My real-life experience.

  4. Solution: Actionable steps (no fluff).

  5. Closer: A question or cliffhanger ("What’s your biggest writing struggle?").

5. How I Use AI (Without Losing My Voice)

Yes i use AI—but only for carving, not for writer:

  • Research: *"Give me 5 stats about AI-generated content."*

  • Editing: "Make this paragraph more concise."

  • Ideas: "Suggest 10 blog topics about authentic writing."

Never: Publish AI content without rewriting it in your voice.

Your Challenge: Write Something ONLY You Could Write

Pick one of these prompts:

  • "The biggest mistake I made as a blogger…"

  • "Why I almost quit [niche]—and what changed."

  • "The weird trick that got me my first 1K visitors."

Publish it raw. No AI polish.

Final Truth: AI Won’t Replace You—It’ll Expose the Fakes

The best writers in 2025 won’t be the ones who use AI best—they’ll be the ones who sound most human.

So go write something only YOU could write.

Need help? I’ll personally review your first draft—just tag me on Twitter.
